I've been running the RX-800GH for 3 months now and am very pleased.Ĭons: None so far. The paint looks very professional and will likely hold up for the life of the psu. The basic black and white housing color (with bat) may not suit some, but I feel RAIDMAX was wise in keeping things simple. Even the power cord is beefed up (make you feel like your plugging in a welder). All of the connections are very tight and solid with the pins well set in the connectors. And if you do need additional power, RAIDMAX supplies a mixture of all the power cables you'll ever need. Why have a bunch of wires attached you don't need and will have to hide somewhere. This has plenty of power to go around! I found the modular design to very easy to work with. Efficiency means less loss, bigger gains, all from this 80 plus gold certified PSU. The RX-800GH not only provides good clean power, but is also very efficient. Raidmax seems to have found a good balance in providing quality products that are not out of reach price wise for builders and hobbyist. I used to build electronic kits and projects in the past and know there is a big difference in the quality of parts out there on the world market. I could have gone cheaper, but cheap power supplies usually give you cheap results. I picked the RAIDMAX Vampire RX-800GH as I was very please with the performance of its bigger brother, the RX-1000GH, which I used in an overclocking build.
